This full cabin yacht sailing course is for beginners who have never sailed before, or have little experience. During this course we’ll teach you how to sail your own (rented) yacht safely and responsibly on inland waters. The course mainly offers practical instruction and where necessary we take a look at the theory (basic principles of navigation, using map and compass, priority rules).

You will learn the basics of sailing. What is the position of the sails in different wind directions? How do you navigate the boat, what is tacking and jibing and how do you reef the sails in certain situations. You'll also learn to maneuver and berth by using the engine. We pay attention to the jargon (for good communications on board) and we teach you some necessary maneuvers (man overboard).

After you have completed this course, you will be able to responsibly rent a boat.

On this website under "sailing holiday’s --> areas --> for whom…" you find a classification into levels of difficulty of the sailing areas. After you have finished this course the classification with two sailing boats is suitable for you.

Duration of this course: nine blocks of 3,5 hours.
